The first recorded export application of a Braithwaite
steel sectional water tank was a 29m³ elevated tank to the Nigerian
Railways, supplied through the Crown Agents for the Colonies. Since that
time, Braithwaite’s export achievement has been enviable, developing
markets throughout Africa, Middle East, Central & Eastern Europe,
Asia, Latin America and the West Indies.

Man-Made River Project – Libya

Phase 1 involved five sites starting with Sarir and Tazerbo. Braithwaite’s
role was to supply large steel sectional drinking water tanks and a 190m³
fire fighting storage tank at each of the five sites. Top
Water
Supply Scheme to Rural Areas – Romania
As part of an ongoing project Braithwaite has supplied over 300 sectional
steel storage tanks for rural areas to the client Ministry of Public Works.
All tanks comply with Romanian technical standards for water quality,
seismic, snow and wind loadings. All tanks include Beltherm 70 insulation
system. Romania has applied for EU accession scheduled for 2007 and has
a priority to improve its drinking water supply. Top

American Tobacco, Lagos - Nigeria
Braithwaite supplied and installed six steel sectional water tanks for
process, domestic and fire fighting applications. The process and domestic
water tanks included the Beltherm 70 insulation system. The installation
was carried out by Braithwaite Water Resources (Nigeria) Ltd. Top

Drinking Water Supply – Senegal
Braithwaite provided 23 sectional steel tanks of various sizes elevated
on towers to provide a rural drinking water supply throughout 18 villages
in Senegal. It involved the construction of deep boreholes and limited
distribution systems feeding communal standpipes. The scheme was financed
by a grant from DFID (formerly ODA). Top

Sugar Factory – Sudan
Braithwaite’s involvement in this vital industry, based on the White
Nile, south of Khartoum, has been an ongoing supply of sectional steel
water tanks providing process water to the factory and drinking water
to the villages within the Kenana Estate. Failure in water supply could
result in the loss of a season’s sugar production. Top

Uganda Water Supply Project – Uganda
A total of nine large galvanised sectional steel elevated tanks were provided
to this urban water supply scheme for Kampala, Mbarara and Masaka. The
tank at Mbarara has a capacity of 2266m³. The project was funded
by the World Bank. Top
